Tips & Tricks

1.  When there is an incoming call, press up/down navigation key or #key to mute the ring tone.
2.   To hold/unhold a call, simply press the DIAL button.
3.  Press a number followed by # / * key, to view/call the contact stored in that location of the simcard. For example, press 2# to view the contact saved in location 2 of sim card or press 2* to dial this contact directly. 
4.  While in INBOX, press DIAL button to call the sender of that message.
5.  To enter silent mode, press and hold # key in standby.
6.  While viewing a video, press up/down navigation key to go full screen (landscape) and back.
7.  While viewing a video, press # key to turn off/on sound
8.  To view photos full screen, press camera button and enter PLAYER ►MODE using left/right navi keys. (There are 3 modes- camera, video and player)
9.  To view downloaded images in full screen, save them in CAMERA ALBUM instead of pictures folder and proceed as above.
10.  Photo fix can be applied to any jpeg image. But the photo-fixed image will be saved in camera album, wherever the original file location be.
11.  To make a hotkey/shortcut to turn on bluetooth quickly, go to settings/general/shortcuts and select ‘Bluetooth’ for one of the 4 navigation keys. Then, if you press the navigation key, it will turn on/off Bluetooth instead of entering the Bluetooth menu!
12.  To mark multiple items, select copy/move/delete followed by ‘several’ or ‘all’.
13.  To zoom images, use the file manager of operamini 2.05. (See Java apps section below) Using: - When an image is opened, it will be in zoom view (only one zoom). You can scroll through the image using navi keys. To switch to original size, press *
14. To delete ALL messages in a folder, press and hold ‘c’. (To delete a single item press ‘c’ once)
15. Keep the phone memory as much free as possible, to improve interface speed. Keep atleast 8MB free in phone. Delete unwanted mms/e-mails and move all files and java to the memory card.
16. A speed dial shortcut can be assigned in three ways; First option is menu/settings/calls/speed dial. Another method is to select a contact, then options/more/speed dial. But perhaps the fastest way is to press and hold the required number and then enter phone number or select contact.
17. We can assign a speed dial also for a phone number which is not saved in contacts.
18. Press "unlock"(left soft key) immeditely on closing the slider, to keep the keypad unlocked.
